Hello Eric, Yes, we'll definitely be needing all the help we can get. Aside from holding courses and training sessions, there is also a statewide exhibition planned under the POSIC banner. We might be cooperating with several organizations to that effect, mainly the state government, Universiti Malaysia Perlis, and of course, the open source communities throughout the country. Right now, I'm still waiting for the green light to get the entire thing going. Meanwhile, I appreciate any comment, suggestion, or any kind of feedback regarding the communities' participation in POSIC.
To summarize, the activities planned for 2011 and 2012 are as follows:- State Level Activities 1. Perlis Open Source Exhibition 2. Edubuntu: Edisi Sekolah-Sekolah Malaysia 3. Literasi Linux dan Sumber Terbuka untuk warga pendidikan dan jabatan-jabatan kerajaan 4. The Ingots (open source certification exam) 5. Establishing a CTP at SK Sena School Level Activities (SK Sena) 1. Developing Multimedia Teaching Aid based on open source technology 2. Fun in Class - training teachers on using Edubuntu within a classroom environment 3. Computer Startup - Computer/Open Source literacy for kids (with focus on classroom environment setting) 4. Dunia 3-Dimensi - 3D animation and game creation for kids Thank you.
