so long as we can point a link to the source of the information on a formal channel (eg a govt website) then we should be ok.
if you look at the posts, the author will always try to provide a link to the official source. with regards to unflattering comments about the government or organisation or persons or project.... this mailing list is publicly searchable through google. 1.
