If its OSDC community, isnt there a logo already? The kancil? As for getting the local people to recognise the OSS logo, see http://www.opensource.org for the logo. I agree with Haris "have branding in Malaysia", MOSC could put a page listing to recognise all the local OSS groups or software. Can just revive the MNCC SIG, then use its logo for opensource in each OSS community or local software. Do clarify, are we looking for the MOSC logo? In this case, a good logo to represent Malaysia, such as the flag or bunga raya.
