Did you check the settings in your current Barebox? Maybe they are clobbered 
(wrong netmask, wrong gateway or something like that).

Any ubuntu users here? I'm running LFS, so I don't know how to setup TFTP 
correctly on a ubtuntu system.
BTW: I'm running 'dnsmasq' here as my TFTP server (with all other services 
disabled 'dnsmasq' can provide).
