Hmm, our main-number-cruncher is a 64 bit machine as well. And it runs a 4.7.1
GCC. And in this machine we can build the toolchain. But it is a Debian based
system.

Recently we setup some virtual machines with different distributions for
testing purposes.

@Jan: do we have a 64 bit Fedore based system in one of these virtual
      machines?
