Based on your assessment of how the problem is made visible I would doubt that it is the cause of my failure. As my system also uses some USB code from Teensy and a 1-wire library from Martin Thomas running on a separate uP, which just happens to be connected to a mini2440, I feel it is not appropriate to discuss here. I will focus on the 1-wire implementation as that is where this problem first surfaced. Thank you, Dave
