Yes. The message you see means, the new binaries are made with a different 
toolchain and linked against different libraries.

With an SD card USB adapter and fsck.<filesystem type>? ;)

I don't know the reason why it fails. I only asked a few questions which came 
into my mind in the hope they point you into the right direction.
