Hmm.. this is really pertinent to my open source Fuse classes. Is it
illegal for me to use built in macromedia classes, even
EventDispatcher, in my code distributed under an open source license?

Can someone who really knows the legalities give any sort of black &
white answer on this?

I mean I could see that this may be the case, however if people are
using Flash they are using Macromedia code; therefore it is sort of a
gray area when they are using classes distributed for all users of
Flash. Especially since no one is reselling the code under open source.

Speaking of which, related question - of all the licenses available
is there a license that allows unlimited free use but NOT direct
repackaging and reselling of the code, except when used for its
intended purpose, as part of a project? I am a little uncomfortable
with the MIT license in that it says it's okay to directly resell the
code - this seems like the opposite of the open source ethic.

Thanks,
