Okay,

I’m asking. J  Please make one that works with Eclipse, I would certainly use that.

Hi Romain,

I choose NetBeans because I'm mostly a Java web developer and NetBeans is a lot better than eclipse for java web application. (jsp + struts + tomcat).

Why I don't choose Eclipse ?

 1) because I'm more familiar with Swing instead of SWT to write GUI code. (and I don't like SWT philosophy)

 2) i wanted to use my favorite IDE for client and server side developement

 3) netbeans is much more customizable

 4) NetBeans developper community is much more reactive than eclipse one

 5) I used NetBeans at beginning and I was slow, so I switch and I used eclipse during one year and I've came back to NetBeans because the overall workflow is much better.

Anyway, like I said, if I receive more request I can refactor my code to give the possibility to plug it in any java enabled platform.  So just ask it ;-)

Hi Nicolas,

Why do you choose NetBeans platform whereas most (flash/AS) developers works on Eclispe with (ASDT / FDT and future Zorn) ?
I never test NetBeans and perhaps it can be better, faster, I don't know  ..but it appears difficult to force developers to switch platform for doing something or anything else...

Why don't choose Eclipse plateform ? any reasons ?

Thanks a lot and good luck for you your development ;)

Cheers,
Romain
