I'm sure a free compiler would benefit OSFlash in general by the way, and in return Macromedia (bigger developer pool, generate interest for developers who would otherwise never touch Flash, etc). It would also eliminate (or soften) the current discussion about a community-driven AS3 compiler, and would save us a lot of wasted time. > Also, "or unless macromedia releases their compiler for free (unlikely)" > I won't say this is or is not likely, but I would guess that much of > what we have released lately (a public alpha, a cmd line compiler, an > eclipse based tool, the Flex framework with that tool, etc) would have > been considered "unlikely" by many even a few weeks ago, and yet here > they are. There are currently two main contributors (the core team, me and Stefano Debenedetti). cheers, claus. _______________________________________________ osflash mailing list [email protected] http://osflash.org/mailman/listinfo/osflash_osflash.org
