> [Responses regarding the plausability of me creating an OS player getting a major install base]
This wasn't the point of the question, it was meant as a "worst-case scenario". I stipulated it because if I can't be harmed in that situation, I certainly won't have to worry whatever happens to it in real life. Note: Within 3-4 years, my bet is that XAML has taken over both HTML and SWF anyway, so trying to wrestle the Flash player from MM's hands doesn't seem like a particularly interesting endeavour. (Ahem... Did I just swear in church? ;) Thanks for the gplflash wiki link: "Acording to our legal advicers, this license [macromedia flashplayer EULA] is valid in atleast the USA, while it is invalid in Sweden" > .SWF run at 999fps was... > well... frikin' awesome. But, I only expect that to work on > the desktop, not in a web browser. Browser or not, I'll get you your 999 ;) Seriously, it doesn't matter much. Fullscreen vs WinForms - yes, there's a performance difference. Browser vs Desktop - not really. /Jonas -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
