Hi John,

wouldn't it be possible to put the connector into an external swf that's loaded 
at runtime? This would allow for the possibility to just remove the swf 
containing the connector from the server and thus disable the connector for 
good. Should any need arise to debug the live site, all one has to do is put up 
the connector swf again.

As an alternative to removing the whole connector, it would of course be 
possible to just check for the existence of a "marker file" on the server, be 
it a swf, xml, or plain text file, which has to be loaded successfully before 
the connector is enabled.
