Hello all!
I just finished installing Firefox 1.5 in Win2K mode in Cedega with Flash Player 8.5, and to my suprise, the setup works! I browsed the entirety of the Macromedia Labs Flex2.0 Showcase Gallery, and everything worked without a hitch! The only drawback is a loss of clarity in the firefox window, but suprisingly enough, Flash 8.5 works brilliantly! I anticipate coding AMES based 8.0 projects and viewing them in a 100% compatible 8.0 player :) I would also think that this setup would be possible in a Wine-only environment, but I haven't had the time to install Wine yet.

The particular shock of finding 8.0 working in Linux comes to me partially because I've been told time and time again that it's "impossible" and that linux won't be recieving an updated player until 9.0 :S So I find that this particular setup is quite nice! :D Firefox is a tad glitchy though. It seems that using the control key causes some issues. Not a crash, but after releasing the control key, cedega/wine doesnt seem to care that control is being released :D But browsing without shortcuts is fine for just the development environment :)

If anyone would like to reproduce this particular setup, they can follow these steps:
1) Install Cedega (Wine has not yet been tested by myself)
2) Download in your native environment (Linux, in my case) Firefox 1.5 from the firefox website
3) Install Firefox 1.5 in Cedega
3a) If the firefox installer stalls at 100% completion, it is "safe" to kill the wineserver process and...
4) Download in your native environment Flash Player 8.5 NON ACTIVEX VER. from http://labs.macromedia.com
5) install FP8.5 in cedega in the same container as Firefox
5a) In the browse dialog, browse to the Firefox Plugins folder
5b) Next, Next, Next, I agree, Next, Setup, Etc.
6) Launch Firefox in Cedega
7) Without using CTRL (:D), navigate to http://labs.macromedia.com/showcase/
8) Test out the Samples, and see if my results are reproduceable!

My Cedega config for firefox is attatched.

Enjoy!
