Looks like you may have found a weakness:
8.5 gives me an IO Error on the asfusion uploader, as does http://www.flash-db.com/Tutorials/upload/ . I am assuming this is a limitation of Wine, and not an incompatibility with 8.0.

As for your second trial, I am unable to save settings.

Looks like its not too much of an advancement... However, it would be interesting to see if I can play with Cedega's settings and find something nice. I can also attatch GDB to the cedega session and see whats going on that way, and prehaps find some relevant info.

Will post later with more details!

Sounds interesting. Is there a standalone player you can try?

Are you able to save settings? E.g. set it to allow 1MB of local
storage, and set it to allow XMLServer connections to particular IP
addresses?

Those are the things I cannot do with wine with the Flash 8 standalone
player (also Flash 7). (I can get round the IP restriction by making a
projector then running the exe with wine.)
