I’ve just started using Eclipse with the
osflash-recommended plugins/tools AS2 programming. However, I still have
not been able to get any parts of my project to successfully compile with
Flashout/MTASC – for now I’m just working around it by using
Eclipse as an editor and compiling from .fla in Flash 8. My first issue has been with using outside
classes/components. We have several things that we use on various projects
-- some developed here, others elsewhere. When I was doing everything in
Flash 8 and/or Flash 8 plus a text editor, I usually had components that were
brought in as a .mxp via Extension Manager. I don’t want to have to
physically copy all the source/.swf/etc for every class/component into every
individual project. What’s the proper or best way to handle this in
a FAMES setup? The second issue I have is a compilation error in one of
Macromedia’s own core classes: C:\Documents
and Settings\chuck.hoffman\Local Settings\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash
8\en\Configuration\Classes/mx/core/ScrollView.as:174: characters 1-42 : type
error Object should be String What should I do about this?
