Now you made me think. Maybe porting to AS3/AVM2 would be the way as the speed issues would be no problem I think as the AVM2 is far faster and optimized and has a better architecture also. However, I wouldn't want to use the heavy Flex2 framework! Maybe I even use HaXe to do that :)
