It's just some code hinting and syntax highlighting (plus a few file create templates)...
Hell you can use the Java environment to write AS in Eclipse when it comes down to it. I follow a lot of these projects because they lead AWAY from the IDE, not towards a new one so we can all bitch about how it sucks too. ASDT is fine for AS2 right now, and will be forever since AS2 is not gonna change. I use ASDT and I don't feel the need for a new version cause it does what I need. And by the time it doesn't I will be doing 100% AS3 and there will be some simple plugin to 'help' write write code. To me this thread is a waste of inbox space. I also don't agree with the potential bureaucracy that an OSFlash non profit etc might bring. If anything, projects should jsut do what FDT does....sell it's plugin. I would like to see something a litle cheaper for the little guy but overall NOTHING IS FREE. -Ken _______________________________________________ osflash mailing list [email protected] http://osflash.org/mailman/listinfo/osflash_osflash.org
