Why they put 512 mb in it by default completely beats me. The out-of-the-box configuration is a very poor product. I don't believe there's anyone using it without extra memory. I tried clicking the top-left Apple icon and it took 5 seconds for the pulldown menu to appear! But once you pop in 1 gb extra, it's a world of difference. Nice and fast. By the way John, about that video card, a good video card is mainly needed for 3D design programs and 3D games. You really don't need to worry about presentations or Flash. Michiel PS: If you go for a PC, I'd say don't get Dell. I know many people that have serious trouble with the hardware and service. Other brands like Asus and Acer offer at least the same quality for that price.
