Why they put 512 mb in it by default completely beats me. The out-of-the-box configuration is a very poor product. I don't believe there's anyone using it without extra memory. I tried clicking the top-left Apple icon and it took 5 seconds for the pulldown menu to appear!
But once you pop in 1 gb extra, it's a world of difference. Nice and fast.

By the way John, about that video card, a good video card is mainly needed for 3D design programs and 3D games. You really don't need to worry about presentations or Flash.

PS: If you go for a PC, I'd say don't get Dell. I know many people that have serious trouble with the hardware and service. Other brands like Asus and Acer offer at least the same quality for that price. Ohh, and they don't support the republican GOP with their profits either, in case you care, hehe :)

I'm not sure about that, thought about it but if you live in Europe
we've got a 2 year warranty by default thanks to EU legislation so its a
bit expensive for that one year extra coverage.

Yes, if you buy it in a Apple Store not the online store. If you buy it
at Apple you still will get one year warranty. Oh well, I still think
Apple should give more value for the price i.e. more default memory or
disk space. Let's see what they show off the upcoming weeks!!!
