I've been with layeredtech.com for business sites and a big spanish community (www.cristalab.com, lots of traffic) and believe me, they are hell. They've lost backups, have downtimes of several days without explanation or even contact (They don't answer support mails until they've the problem fixed or until they know the data is really lost). I'll recommend you to go with a Dedicated-Virtual on http://www.mediatemple.net/. Of course that is unless you are really sure you need all the power of a real dedicated. Also, the price for Dedicated-Virtual is cheaper than Layeredtech dedicated servers.
