The topo maps are cool, but I still think it would be great to have vector versions. That way it doesn't get blurry and distorted on close up zooms and also would be excellent for printing. I think that being able to print the maps would also be a great feature. > - Thanks for the point about Flash-based maps. > Interesting idea. I know that these guys would be psyched to have you try them out. > - "Also a web based mapping program for outdoor > adventures that allows one to set way points, routes, > etc... on the website and have those download to your > GPS would be absolutely kille" > So you're saying do the oppossite of what we currently > do? I think having the ability to setup your trip on line and dump it to your GPS device, or other mobile device would be stellar. This could change the site so that it can also be used as a trip planner. I have tons of ideas about this, so if you want, feel free to email me off list and we can discuss it. > - My final question is can anyone try out the site and > log a trail? We also did a nice canoe trip in northern Maine that would be great to put up there. BTW, I didn't see "paddling" or "canoeing/kayaking as a category; it might be nice to add that. > Please feel free to give more feedback. This is > really helpful.
