Red5 certainly works on non-Fedora installs - I have had it running quite
happily on both Ubuntu and Debian.

From the very brief description of your error, it sounds like you might have
the wrong Java VM installed. Make sure (using java --version) that you have
at least Java 1.5 installed and on your path.

And if that isn't the problem, try including a bit more error information
than 'blabla'.
