Hi everyone,
I have sent the email below ages ago to '[EMAIL PROTECTED]', the only reply I got back then was that the email is still waiting for moderation. So I thought I'd post it here. Does anyone have any information regarding this matter? Any guidance or info would be really appreciated. Cheers, Bachir From: Bachir El Khoury [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, March 28, 2008 9:23 AM To: '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' Subject: Import Maya scene to PV3d - Camera + lights + animation Hi everyone, I'm fairly new to PV3d and I have a quick question that the answer might be too obvious since I couldn't find anything on the net about. When exporting collada dae files from Maya or any other package, the cameras and lights are being exported as well. Yet I couldn't find any examples or tutorials where these have been used. So my question is: - Can I use my exported camera and lights I have exported from maya? - How to use their data from the collada file? I can only import and use the 3D objects with their textures but is that it at this stage? Can I use the Camera's <matrix> tag in the dae to apply to the camera in PV3d? The main goal is to get the same scene setup and composition I already have set in maya. I really appreciate any direction or help. Thanks, Bachir
