I'm glad you updated the example, however I have just one little
remark regarding the focus: wouldn't it be surprising in a general
purpose GUI that a window (that is, our OSG window) capture the focus
when the mouse cursor just hovers it ?

Isn't that up to the window manager to determine, actually? I know in KDE/Gnome, you can decide whether to use X style focusing, where the user can just hover the mouse over a window to give it focus, and click-focusing, like in Windows. I know nowadays most people use click-focusing, but it's still the window manager's job to tell the window whether it has the focus, not the application itself to "grab" focus...
