Hi J-S -- I'll commit your most recently-posted change to the 2.6 branch. If
there is a subsequent change related to auto-repeat, please post it
separately.
If it's not done yet, please don't commit. I'm finishing up the
mentioned change, and would prefer to commit only the completed code so
we don't get any reports that it doesn't work properly... But if it's
already done then don't worry about it.
