Heck I know this is a bit late but the conditional compilation done as a
#ifndef or #ifdef OSG_DISABLE_IMPLICIT_OUTPUT_CONVERSION would mean that the
default behaviour is good for users of ref_ptr outside of the OSG CMake
projects.

I'm really sorry for not spotting this issue sooner. I needed a coffee!
