My anxiety stems for past hassles. I've lost many hours previously due to problems introduced. The OSG code base started life a decade ago so I've got lots stored up experience with porting hassles. Compilers do improve though, and if we are getting by with MixinVector using template methods in a template and it hasn't broken any currently active platform combinations then we are probably good to with your suggested change. However, I'm still anxious about this stuff. It's worth noting the the MixinVector stuff has to be worked around in the wrappers to things to compile. > I haven't done a size comparison and will, however I moved relatively few > methods out of .cpp files into headers. Relatively few methods used many times in the code could be potential hit.
