If I do merge your change then there is a good chance that
it'll fix things for you but breaks things for others.  There *must*
have been a reason that the code is there.

I'm not that well versed in Windows internals, but I honestly can't see a reason for that, it looks like an artificial limitation to me. You regularly see applications using the standard cursors in other ways (some apps will use the cross arrows to show you can move something around, etc.)

I hope someone else has more insight to give than I do, but to me, it just looks like Frederic is adding flexibility (or removing an artificial inflexibility).
