Hi Serge,

Doesn't this change force all users who want to use the directshow
plugin to add a ".directshow" extension to all the videos that they
want to read?  If so I can't see this as being appropriate for general
usage.

If you want to use another plugin in preference to this plugin then
pre-loading that plugin to make sure it gets called first would be
more appropriate.
