Hi Robert, Fantastic! Let's first thank the Gmail team for making it possible to find this 'relic' still entire. :-D
This makes me remember another submission osgposter, which is used for outputting hi-res pictures but is thought to be a little complicated because of loading the highest levels of paged files. I'd like to make a review and re-submit it again tomorrow to see if it's still usable for current release. I'm working with another engineer on the problem of converting system codepages into UTF-8/wide chars under different platforms. It may require some time before I could submit this to the trunk to improve the capability of handling unicode strings, so no need to wait for it before the 3.0 release. :-) By the way, do you think it necessary to have an independent osg::String class (works like QString in Qt) replacing normal std::string parameter in osgDB and other namespaces?
