If create new threads then you need to set the affinity on these new
threads. This is normal and what I would expect.  You can't push all the
control of your application on the OSG.

I only modified one file when I submitted my addition to osgterrain.cpp,
that's all that is required.

Your own submission is rejected as it's unnecessary complication - even
your own application doesn't need these modifications to the OSG.
