The Delta3D team at the MOVES Institute announces the availability of osgGauge, a 2D gauge and instrument panel rendering library for use with Open Scene Graph.
The osgGauge nodekit allows users to easily render 2D gauges in their simulation or game application. The gauges can be created via code or an optional .xml file format and can respond to property values supplied to the system such as airspeed or altitude. osgGauge is open source, cross platform, and freely available for downloading. It uses CMake to generate the project files in a very similar fashion to OSG. The osgGauge project is currently housed under Delta3D-Extras project, the companion project to Delta3D. This is the first public release of the code and is considered usable, but probably shouldn't be used in any mission critical application. Any feedback, new features, or bug fixes are greatly appreciated. osgGauge : http://delta3d-extras.wiki.sourceforge.net/osgGauge Delta3D Team : http://www.openscenegraph.org/projects/osg/wiki/Comminity/UsersGroups/Delta3D Delta3D : http://www.delta3d.org ###
