Does it make sense to render stereo images on a curved dome screen, > or across say 3 angled screens butted together, or a cave? My
Every CAVE I've been in has used active stereo (CrystalEyes). It does require headtracking, so the view is only correct for one viewer, but multiple CrystalEyes wearers are not prohibited, they just have a weird view. SGI had several stereo CAVEs in the VROOMs at SIGGRAPH 94 (I think) -- mew > impression is that stereo would not work on curved/angled screens, as > the stereo effect that jumps off the screen would begin to interfere > with each other because of the curved nature of the screen. _______________________________________________ osg-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.openscenegraph.org/listinfo.cgi/osg-users-openscenegraph.org
