Hello Guy --

The Intermediate course NodeKit topic explains "what is a NodeKit" and gives
some examples of NodeKits. osgText and osgShadow are used as examples during
the lab. The course doesn't cover details of, for example, osgFX,
osgParticle, etc. By the end of this section, you'll have a high-level idea
of what you need to do to create your own NodeKit, if desired.

An experienced OSG programmer should definitely know how to use an LOD node.
However, specifics of the DatabasePager and PagedLOD nodes will be discussed
in the Terrain course.

OSG 1.2 experience should be sufficient. Differences between OSG v1.2 and
current OSG are discussed in all the courses.

Subject: [osg-users] The Course in Paris

Hello,

I've two questions about the course:

1. In the intermediate lectures, there is a topic of nodekits. Is it
possible to find more information what nodekits are they?

2. For the third day it says "you should be an experienced OSG
developer". Does it also means one should be experienced with Database pager
and LOD? Is OSG1.2 experience is good enough?

Thanks,

 Guy.
