Thanks, but I have finally got it. The hostname for cvs checkout on the
osgNV homepage is wrong.
It says
cvs.sourceforge.net
it should be
osgnv.cvs.sourceforge.net
When you type that in is doesn't time out!
I am going to try and see if I can simulate ARB_shadow_ambient with
NV_register_combiners.

Has anyone got a copy of the cvs head osgNV source they could either
point me at or send me. I have been trying for two days to log in to
cvs on sourceforge without any luck.
