I don't have an answer, but I'm not sure many others will be able to
provide an answer with a bit more info about the set up at your end.

What is the Boston example?  The OSG itself doesn't come with a
"Boston" example or a make.bat.

What hardware/drivers/OS version are you working with?

Does the OSG itself compile OK?

Which version of the OSG are you using?
