I've just tried osgpdf on a couple of pdf files and found that a
couple I just got blank pages like you, but then others it worked
fine. The pdf files that didn't work properly did seem to be read as
the dimensions and the number of pages was reported to the console.
Since the code is identical it would point to an issue in Poppler or
Cairo, but one can't rule out the pdf plugin being the source.

W.r.t the gecko plugin, I haven't tried working with it recently.
gecko turned out to be a bit of un-tamable monster to use as an
embedded browser so my plan is to move across to use a WebKit based
solution such as based on Qt WebKit widget.
