Hi,
look for a libcurl*-dev package and install that. The -dev packages contain the header files etc to build software that uses the library.

thanks...unfortunately I have all of them installed. There is only one
libcurl4-openssl-dev but it is 'fighting' (can not be installed both together)
with libcurl4-gnutils-dev (this I have installed). I have tried to install the
other but it didn't help.... ;o(

On Debian I have libcurl4-gnutls-dev. How did you install OSG itself? Go check in your osgPlugins directory if you have osgdb_curl.so.
