I just glanced at the 16.3a spec. The new set of "extended materials"
are a pretty big change (not so much on the file side, but in the
conversion to OSG nodes and attributes). I'm thinking it will take a
lot of effort to fully implement them.
Likely, it's going to depend on somebody needing them enough to put in
the effort to add them to the loader. Maybe that's you? :-)
