Thx for checking the changes.

It was design that was so revolutionary no modern scene graph has adopted it.
And, for example, that idea of Inventor manipulators has been adopted in
OSG.
Sorry, that by speaking about the absence of cull traversal you may get
impression that what is called rendering traversal in Inventor is not
doing various rendering optimizations.
Anyway, I see benefits of parental inheritance and I am in a position
that my project is the only one in the company using OSG. Thus, I need
to prove that OSG is the best way for our particular needs. And my
colleagues will not spare a single argument or detail. The people that
contributed manipulators actually removed one of very strong arguments
against OSG in our company. Thanks to them. OSG is expected to be better
in performance and in support (bug fixes, etc... - very important for
us). Then, I will be in a difficult position with some scene graph
manipulation routines that are quite mature in Inventor - but I may
consider to develop a new visitor for them and prove it is an equal or
even better solution. The same with shadow volumes (not shadow maps),
and of course documentation - I am studying sources, but this will be
the first argument against (unfortunately). They will see only missing
things while not seeing amount of features and benefits that you may
have over.
Please, do not consider this malicious email telling that OSG is worse.
Not at all!
But help me to prove them that OSG is better in every possible way!
I know nearly each source code line of Inventor, so I have a close
attachment to it. But help me to prove that OSG is better by continuous
improvements and new features.
Otherwise, I may be forced to leave OSG. There is a huge progress in OSG
past three years. So, I hope to have enough strong arguments, if not
today, then next month or next year.
All the best, thanks for discussion and thanks for checking in the changes.
John
