I want to know what are the changes that i would need to make in the following code so that it runs in 2.8.0.
No one will modify the code for you. You'll need to look at it, understand what it's doing, and change it so it works with OSG 2.8.x . There have been many discussions about this in the past, and there is probably information on the wiki as well. Do a bit of searching.
Just so you know, I've converted many apps from osgProducer to osgViewer, it's really not hard, there's almost a 1 to 1 match in functionality.
