Hi compyler, jepp I agree, some aspects are still not clear. But OSG is an framework for advanced users, so reading the code is essential. Have you read ALL wiki pages? You can get a brief introduction to osgViewer, View, Scene and camera by searching the forum, but you have to assamble the results yourself to a complete introduction into that topic.
Can you ask specific questions so others can help you?
