These type of entries sound like they would be in a "Showcase" category that has been suggested rather than a Gallery. For a community gallery we can be rather light on implementation details - as we have had in past, while with an ideal Showcase article we should put an effort to make it readable as well as visually enticing and tie in with examples, documentation links to algorithms on other websites etc. So Showcase shoes the OSG and illustrates how it can be done.
