Well, reading Rich Geldreich's blog today (Things that drive me nuts
about OpenGL) [1], it seems there's indeed no practical testing from
the Khronos group to ensure driver's OpenGL conformance:

"This indicates to me that Khronos needs to be more proactive at
testing and validating the drivers. GL needs the equivalent of the
WHQL process." (taken from #25)

Interesting reading BTW, with #19 dealing with OpenGL compatibility
and OpenGL "profiles" as recently introduced in OSG.
