Hi Eric, 2.8.5 was a stable release, not a developer one. That's the reason why it is located at http://trac.openscenegraph.org/downloads/stable_releases . In fact the page http://trac.openscenegraph.org/projects/osg/wiki/Downloads/PreviousReleasesis linking to the right place.
