Hi Joey,
One possible problem might be a missing dependency. Can you use the
dependency walker on the dll to check if there are missing dlls? In your
cmake-setup are you linking against some static or dynamic library. If
the latter is the case, you will need to copy the dll to your osg-bin.
Also: have you tried different jpgs? Maybe you have some "non"-standard
one.
cheers

Hi,
I built OSG 3.2.1. on MVS9(2008). I'm running win7 64bit. I do have the plugin
and it is building, I rebuilt it all just to make sure, it did generate the
osgdb_jpeg.dll and I copied it directly to were the osgviewer executable is,
just in case my paths or something is incorrect. I am actually trying to use
osgEarth but I was getting error messages saying it couldn't read the JPEG
files, so the moderator said if I ran osgviewer --image file.jpg and it doesn't
work that I have an issue with OSG either my environment or build and to post
in this forum.
Is there a way to get more info from the command osgviewer --image? I posted
all it shows. problem it doesn't give an error about missing dll's or whatever
Thank you!
Cheers,
Joey
