Certainly, but it doesn't harm anything and it makes sense to have it there - setting in manually in the CXX_FLAGS is a major pain, because that variable gets overwritten each time the project gets regenerated by CMake. Moreover, there are many other such flags in the CMake, why are suddenly these a problem?
