Hi Gianni,

Is there any known issue related to the specific graphic card or driver?

Some Laptops come with 2 graphic adapters (Nvidia and Intel Integrated Graphics ). In suche case, you have to tell your Laptop that it should run the Nvidia Adapter as primary device (somewhere in your Windows settings). Else, you could see such black/white screen if it tries to run the other adapter. I don't know if this is the right answer , but you can do a check if your machine has multiple graphic adapters.

regards, Markus

Sorry, I forgot to say that the OS is Windows 7 64 bit and the application has
been built with VS 2010.
