BTW, the information in http://www.openscenegraph.org/index.php/download- section/dependencies is also outdated. And the prepackaged deps for debian are now 10 years old http://download.gna.org/underware/openscenegraph/gnulinux/debian/ :O. So definitely the best would be to install directly from apt.
