I find it bizzare that quality doesn't seem important to ATI. I guess
bad karma about drivers just doest bother the managers unless it
really hits them hard and publically. I can't believe the engineers

My understanding is that the problem is OpenGL doesn't matter as much to them. DirectX
seems to much more significant, as their major market is games. If it was a major bug that
affected a top-10 game, it probably would have gotten resolved a lot faster.
Pain, however, tends to be an effective motivator, and bad PR for a publicly-held
company causes pain.
