Sure, that's probably a good idea. For the OSG projects I'm working up a Perl script to rewrite the 1.1 .dsp files, rather than doing it manually. So incorporating systemic late-breaking changes shouldn't be too difficult for me. I'm guessing it would be a lot more work on your end though.
